This is the rug. I felt really in awe of the amount of detail and interesting patterns in the rug. So I wanted to create a building that creates a sense of awe as well. I pulled the plan of my building from the layout of the rug, the Asian roof structure from what I believe is supposed to be plants on the rug and all of the ornaments on my building can be found in the rug.

Architecture
We had to create a building inspired by the patterns of a prayer rug, but kept in a certain architecture style. I think that is a very valid approach to create something fresh and new. Although I feel like I could have pushed this further by not sticking to an already existing architecture style as much (in this case the Tibetan influence is pretty obvious.)
