Architecture

We had to create a building inspired by the patterns of a prayer rug, but kept in a certain architecture style. I think that is a very valid approach to create something fresh and new. Although I feel like I could have pushed this further by not sticking to an already existing architecture style as much (in this case the Tibetan influence is pretty obvious.)
This is the rug. I felt really in awe of the amount of detail and interesting patterns in the rug. So I wanted to create a building that creates a sense of awe as well. I pulled the plan of my building from the layout of the rug, the Asian roof structure from what I believe is supposed to be plants on the rug and all of the ornaments on my building can be found in the rug.

Stone Giant

First painting for Environment Design with Nathan Fowkes and Colin Geller. Great class so far!
These were the thumbnails, we weren't given any specific guidelines as far as content goes.

Quick Environment

Created a new brush today and I actually really like it. This is a quick experiment with it.

Here is a high key variant too.
